Answers to Your Surface Design Questions

For businesses, creative directors, and art buyers

Library Password: Who & How?

The pattern library is password protected to insure that our licensed designs are proprietary and enter the market looking fresh. We share the library with qualified manufacturers and retailers who regularly license and work in the form of repeat patterns and graphic placement prints. When you use the contact form, let us know your Name, Company, Email, and Phone so that we can send you a password promptly.

Do you sell patterns?

We typically license all of our work. We know the fashion industry moves quickly, so we also offer flat-fee license agreements for this situation. It’s vital to our business model to maintain the copyrights to all of Jenny's work, however, she also wants to make it easy for companies to incorporate her work in their product designs.

Can you help me with repeats or other technical problems?

Yes! The studio services we offer include specific repeat sizes, indexing, recoloring, and other artwork changes for an extra fee. Almost all of our work is already in repeat; however, for an extra fee, we can shift the size to meet your needs. We prefer to do this on our own artwork, however, we are open to working on other designers’ files depending upon the situation. Please inquire.

What other services do you offer?

Jenny has a master’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. She is formally trained in product design and development and has designed a wide array of products. Incorporating product design and surface design is one of Jenny’s specialties.

We have recently started a service helping manufacturing and retail clients with repurposing surface designs they have purchased previously from other design studios but were never able to use. We have a process of minimizing the issues that have kept that work in a drawer for years and get it out to the market. Use the contact formor give the studio a call to get started.

Do you accept new interior design clients?

We no longer accept new clients for interior design projects. The studio has a long-standing roster of repeat clients in both commercial and residential design.

Where can I purchase your products?

Click on the shopping links above to purchase Jenny's product line. Licensed products will be available on this site from time-to-time.

What is Bova Creative?

Bova Creative houses all of the creative, commercial endeavors of Clint & Jenny Bova. The pair began as graphic and interior designers, respectively. As their careers have grown, they have moved into art licensing and fine arts. You can find Clint’s paintings here.

Do you teach classes?

No. We do not teach classes. For surface design, we recommend the Textile Design Lab. You can see a review of it on the blog here.
